DFSSDFSS Green Belt [ ]

3 days event, ideal for candidates with current DMAIC Green or Black Belt.  This program is intended for project leaders that are involved in the design and development of products, processes, or services and introduces the Design for Six Sigma roadmap, ideally, candidates should have at least a DMAIC Green Belt with an understanding of statistical methods.

  • Understanding a Phase-Gate Design Structure
  • Defining and Chartering the Project
  • Risk Identification and Management (design) DFMEA/Risk Cube
  • Deploying the Voice of the Customer through Product Design (Basics of QFD and HOQ 1)
  • Gaining a Functional Mindset; Functional Mapping & Analysis (QFD HOQ 2)
  • Concept Ideation: IFR & Morphological Matrix
  • Concept Generation and Controlled Convergence – the use of Zig-Zag design to optimize the system (Pugh Matrix)
  • Building Quality into the Design and Process: QFD HOQ 3 and 4
  • Design for (Manufacturability, Assembly, Reliability, etc.)
  • Basics of Product and Service Reliability
  • Robust design decisions: Introduction to Axiomatic Design
